Semarang, September 16, 2025 – The Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University (FSM UNDIP), held a handover ceremony for a new room designated for Student Organizations (Ormawa), located on the 3rd floor of Building G, FSM UNDIP. The event was attended by faculty leaders, representatives of student organizations, and administrative staff.
The ceremony began with remarks from the Dean of FSM UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Kusworo Adi, S.Si., M.T., who expressed his hope that the new room could be optimally utilized by students as a space for discussions, coordination, and the development of ideas beneficial to the faculty’s progress.
“This is a room that can now be used by student organizations, a place for discussions, while also maintaining its cleanliness. Hopefully, this room can be optimized, at the very least as an office for coordination, nurturing ideas, and contributing positively to the faculty,” said Prof. Kusworo.
The event was attended by the faculty leadership, including the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, the Vice Dean for Resources, the Administrative Manager, the Supervisor of the Academic and Student Affairs Subdivision, and the Coordinator for Student Affairs. Also present were representatives of FSM UNDIP student organizations (Ormawa), including the Student Executive Board (BEM), Student Senate, Departmental Student Associations, the Voice of Science Choir (VoSC), Islamic Student Community MADANI, Christian Student Fellowship (PMK), Catholic Student Ministry (PRMK), and POTLOT.
The program continued with the symbolic handover of the room key by the Dean of FSM UNDIP to the Chair of BEM, David Cristian Batubara, and the Chair of the Student Senate, Amelia Hayu Rivetra. This was followed by a tumpeng-cutting ceremony by the Dean, with portions symbolically given to representatives of BEM and the Student Senate, marking the official use of the new room.
With this new facility, FSM UNDIP hopes that student organizations can further strengthen coordination, creativity, and their role in supporting student activities, as well as make meaningful contributions to the faculty.
