FSM UNDIP Statistics Lecturer Presents Research at The Asian Mathematical Conference 2025

The Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro (FSM UNDIP), continues to demonstrate its academic contributions at the international level. On 3-7 August, 2025, Miftahul Jannah, S.Si., M.Si., a lecturer from the Department of Statistics FSM UNDIP, participated as a presenter at the prestigious Asian Mathematical Conference 2025 (AMC 2025) at The Empress Convention Center, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The conference brought together more than 300 researchers from 57 countries. The topics covered a wide range of mathematical fields, from fundamental theories such as logic, algebra, and geometry, to modern applied areas including analysis, statistics, probability, data science, computation, and optimization. Several sessions also discussed the role of mathematics in interdisciplinary fields, such as epidemiology, computer science, and technological modeling.

On this occasion, Miftahul Jannah presented a research paper entitled “Bayesian Logistic Regression Analysis on the Impact of COVID-19 Vaccination on Pregnancy Outcomes” in Session S6: Probability, Statistics, and Data Science. The presentation, delivered on 6 August 2025, highlighted the application of Bayesian statistical methods to analyze the relationship between COVID-19 vaccination and pregnancy outcomes. The study demonstrated how modern statistical approaches can provide valuable contributions to global public health issues.

The participation of FSM UNDIP’s lecturer in AMC 2025 marks an important step in showcasing research at the international stage while fostering academic networks with mathematics experts from around the world. This reflects FSM UNDIP’s commitment to supporting the advancement of knowledge through research and interdisciplinary collaboration.
